1. Well normally I would suggest you go on the Wrigley Field tour
but they don't do them after the season is over, so I would say take a walk down state street, maybe check out the Marshall Fields building, its now Macy's, even if your not going to buy anything its a fantastic building. Also you should check out millennium park and or Navy Pier. Most people would say go the the Sears Tower, now known as the Willis Tower, and thats ok but its really expensive to go up to the sky deck.

3. Exciting! I am a life-long Chicagoan--here are some good bets:
Definitely check out the view of the skyline from Planetarium Point. It is so glorious!

Ordinarily, I would suggest an architectural river boat cruise which are very informative and fun, but it is pretty cold for that now. (and a cruise along the lake)

The Art Institute has the best collection of French Impressionists outside of Paris.

Go down the Magnificent Mile and enjoy the holiday decorations, check out the Christmas tree at Daley Plaza, the Picasso, the Chagall....

Macy's on State St. will have a huge beautiful tree........check out the magical windows too.

To eat, well, we have everything! What kind of food do you like? What is your price range?
Are you going to be staying downtown?

Let me know and I will give you more suggestions--
You might want to check out Obama's house in Hyde Park too. =)
A good tour is really helpful to give you the full scope of the city highlights

HAVE FUN!

4. Thank you! We will be staying a couple blocks north of the L
Do you think the Christmas trees will still be up Jan 2nd->Jan6th? We like lots of food but we are told deep dish pizza is a must. Where is the best? Can you give me a dummy's guide to using the subway/buses? Only seen subways in pictures and movies. :-) Can I ride it as long as I want or do they make you get off? I figure it would be a good way to see the city. Pedway? Should I use it?
