Vanderplatz wants remaining Iowa S.C. justices to resign.
Heard on Iowa Public Radio, Vanderplatz touting his experience as a Junior High principal, and when a bunch of kids got caught drinking, he expected ALL the kids to come forward and take their punishment.

Therefore Vanderplatz believes (it follows as the night must the day) that the remaining justices should resign since the decision on gays having the right to marry was unanimous, and the voters have rejected three of the justices.

Ya just gotta love a guy who has the chutzpah to compare a bunch of drunk junior high kids to the justices on the Iowa State Supreme Court who make decisions based on their belief in human rights, yanno?

This man is in the pool we have to choose our leadership from???

3. I can't decide whether it's sad or funny that he thinks Supreme
Court justices handing down a decision he disagrees with deserve to be treated like drunk junior high kids. His arrogance is just beyond belief.

2. I have a feeling that this one may backfire on him
He got what he wanted, with a lot of outside help, and now he is getting greedy. He wants them to quit because he likely knows full well that there is no reason to impeach them.
So if this goes against him, maybe he'll have enough grace to just leave our state and head for Iran or somewhere like that where gays are not tolerated. That should be his idea of paradise.

4. I wonder if there's any way to find out where the funds actually
came from that supported the "Kick out the judges" campaign.
(I don't have TV, so never saw any of the ads.)

Knowing who has dollars in the game would tell us a lot about our system, I bet.

I know two women who are raising three happy, healthy kids between them -- but why let same-sex couples marry and adopt kids when we can continue to shuffle unwanted children from one foster home to another.

Branstead will appoint three new judges now, right? And the Iowa justices, having had their hands publicly slapped and fearing for their jobs, will certainly fall into line and do whatever the RightWing Wackazoids want.

Not.

Maybe Mr. Vanderplatz WOULD be happier in Iran, walking around with a big stick and beating the legs of any woman showing enough ankle to excite his tender sensibilities.

Hate Group-Funded Campaign To Remove Iowa Justices Falsely Claims Justice O’Connor’s Support

<SNIP>

FF’s blatant misrepresentation of O’Connor’s opposition to their campaign is the least of their questionable decisions. IFF’s anti-gay campaign received considerable support from the American Family Association, a Mississippi-based hate group which claims that Adolf Hitler and “virtually all of the Stormtroopers, the Brownshirts, were male homosexuals” and that marriage equality causes crop failure.

Indeed, the AFA may be the single most important force behind Iowa’s anti-gay campaign. They recently announced that they “put a couple of hundred thousand dollars into this campaign,” IFF’s false press release indicates that it is “Paid for by AFA Action,” the AFA’s political arm, and the IFF’s website used to indicate that it was funded by AFA Action — although this indication appears to have been removed.

So Iowa’s anti-gay campaign isn’t just willing to falsely claim the support of one of its most prominent opponents, it also shamelessly accepts support from one of the most repulsive fabricators of anti-gay hate speech.

7. Bob is gay. He 's gotta be.
Why on earth would anybody spends this much time and energy obsessing with gays if they weren't? It seems like those who protest the loudest have the most to hide. Just come out of the closet already Bob. Sheesh.

8. If not gay
Then some really bizarre sexual fantasies, like David Vitter with the diapers. I bet Steve King knows.

10. If he is, he'll stay in the closet until he dies.
With that huge ego, I doubt he could admit such a thing publicly; let alone admit it to himself.

I bet he has some doozy dreams at night.
