1. Cedar Rapids...
He will be at my favorite little deli, too bad it's at a time when I can't leave work. I would be interested and hearing what he has to say to Cedar Rapidians and see how much local support shows up for an announcement during the day, outside of his district.

2. The Cedar Rapids stations are broadcast in most of the counties
in the First District, which is why candidates of the district go to Cedar Rapids. Not many votes will come out of the stop, but good media.

Did Seth wake up on the Grumpy side of his bed today? Hmmmmm

4. Well that answers that question
I was wondering why he'd go to CR for any formal announcement. It's a fine city, but different district. Now we know.

6. Yeah, and I believe that KCRG and KGAN are right by each other
and w/in a couple of blocks of the Gazette. So a candidate can hit both T.V. stations and the newspaper in one shot. Pretty nifty.

I'm planning on going to the Waterloo announcement, are you going to the one in Davenport?

7. No
Funny thing about Gluba. He's a real estate agent and yesterday I drove past the agency he works for. In the parking lot was his van, "Gluba for Congress 06". Wonder if he takes that out when he's selling houses? If so, it must be a huge advantage. Possibly even unfair. I guess Dickinson or Braley haven't hollered about it yet, so it must be ok with them.

8. Just got back
Well, wasn't a very long trip since Democratic Headquarters is in the same building as my husband's office.

Since it wasn't a big crowd we just got to sit and talk (middle of the morning in downtown Waterloo is hard to get a good turn-out).

He just went over all he has been saying at Central Committee meetings so it was a nice announcement.
