Are there going to be any anti-surge demonstrations tonight?

Or in the near future? I'm in the Bangor area and think we ought to make a statement. Does anybody have any interest/have you heard of any groups getting together?

Emergency Rally to Stop Iraq Escalation

Thursday, JANUARY 11, 5:00-6:00 PM

Monument Square, Portland

Please join us at Monument Square in Portland

to protest President Bush's proposal to escalate the troop level in Iraq.

Bring signs, candles, instruments....anything to draw attention to the rally.

We need to send a clear message to our Republican Senators that Mainers do not want to send

more troops to Iraq regardless of the location. We need to bring them home.
