Catholic High School confiscates a required reading book they had the students buy.

Heard this today: Central Catholic High School in Lawrence MA placed "The Macho Paradox: Why some Men Hurt Women and How All Men Can Help" on the reading list for a "Faith and Values in Media" class, had the kids buy the book and bring it to school, where the teacher confiscated the books from the kids.
No, I have not read the book, and I do not know the exact reason for the drastic change of thought by the high school. I also hear the school has refunded the cost of the book.
The book's web site:

4. Well it's a private school
The school can do what they want. As long as the kids get their money back.

If parents are pissed they can stop paying tuition and send the kids to public school.

5. Update: School will refund the cost in the tuition bill.
Still don't know what was "wrong" with the book, asked a kid who had read it and he has no idea, said the book was "excellent."
I gotta go see if my library has this book.
