Boston Earth Day: Free Outdoor Concert, They Might Be Giants Thursday 12pm-3PM Rose Kennedy Greenway
Edited on Tue Apr-20-10 09:16 AM by Ian David
Boston’s independent and solar-powered radio station is gearing up for a free lunch time concert in honor of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day from noon-3pm. The concert will take place on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, a new model of dynamic outdoor space that brings Bostonians together to enjoy everything that’s great about the city. The Greenway will be transformed into a fun outdoor atmosphere that includes free music, arts and crafts and other activities.

40th anniversary of Earth Day 2010

Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity – an unprecedented opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and for the future.

1. I've lived in Boston since 1973 and have no clue where the "Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway" is.
I'm guessing it's the strech of land that was underneath the Xway in Downtiwn Boston?

3. Thanks!
I know right where it is. Unfortunately I'm in Georgia until May and won't be back until next month.

4. specific concert location
They do not make the information obvious, but if you watch the commercial video clip on the wxrv.com site, they say that the concert is at the Xfinity Stage between the Aquarium and Rowes Wharf.
