Talk me down! I'm beginning to think I might vote for Cahill !!!
You know, he's NOT a Tea Party guy, he supports cops, teachers, etc. He thinks Patrick has done a less than stellar job, and I have to agree.

Now, of course, a vote for Cahill will be a vote AGAINST Patrick, in a tough three man race, (well three men and one woman race, actually).

I have to remember, I don't want Baker to win because 10% of the Patrick voters think like me, Patrick could have done better, and we want lower property taxes in our cities and towns, not higher ones.

Talk me down, folks, I am a lifelong peace and freedom loving Dem who voted for McCarthy in the primary in 68 as my first ever vote.

I WANT TO VOTE for Patrick, give me some reasons other than the simple numbers and percentages and closeness of the race between Patrick and Baker. Who would have thought Baker could be so high in an historically Dem state, but then again, what is Patrick failing to do to inspire us?

1. Remember what was happening in 2007
when he took office. The Bush regime was selling the country down the sewer, the deepest recession since the Great Depression was in the beginning stages.

Aid to the states had been cut, which necessitated the patrick Administration to cut aid to cities and towns, and, in turn, property taxes had to rise.

For a time, the unemployment rate continued to rise, in conjunction with the rest of the country.

During the last year and a half, though, things are turning around. 65,000 jobs added in the last year. Governor Patrick has done as well as anyone could given the circumstances he inherited.

You are absolutely correct about a vote for Cahill being a vote for Baker and all he stands for. We do not want another Republican governor. Remember Mitt?

Please! I am asking you. For the sake of your fellow Massholes....please vote to reelect Governor Patrick.

2. When Deval Patrick first ran for governor, he put his career and

future on the line standing solidly and speaking loudly for equal marriage, and he has backed that up in all ways. he said he would not settle for anything less than full equality for everyone. that is how compassionate, and how principled he is.

he pulled this state out of economic disaster before any other state, and jobs have been increasing for quite a while now.

our schools are the best and received the top stimulus grant because of that.

Patrick travels all over the state, constantly, letting us all know how much he cares, holding tough Q&A sessions, where he gives and gives to admirers and critics, alike.

Patrick is strongly against the death penalty, strongly pro-choice, Diane works to end domestic violence that she says Deval saved her from....

Cahill is for the death penalty, pro-choice "with some caveats," against raising taxes.... said he would veto the transgender rights bill....

Deval Patrick is a brilliant, kind-spirited, loving man whom i deeply admire.

i could go on, but i am rushing right now.

please vote for Deval Partick.

Thank you.

ps - if you are worried about Baker, please write letter-to-the-editors about him and your views!!

peace

*edit to add couple things - sorry not more time to do this properly.

3. This said it all to me:
In the last debate, he was talking about the difference in values between the candidates and he said, "I see government as helping people." (He said it twice.) If I hadn't already been supporting Patrick, that would have told me all I need to know to support him.

6. THANKS Don't worry folks! I'm voting for Patrick AGAIN!
I like the man a lot, and you all did a terrific job with reminding me of his courage and his leadership on critical issues to us all.

Charlie Baker is scum! Tim Cahill helps Patrick get elected, I hope.

8. Here's an excellent reason:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=158x16346#16350

Also, remember, Cahill's people defected (supposedly) to Baker. So, either Cahill is a lot more like a rethug than a Dem, or the rethugs set him up as a spoiler.

Plus, he's a self-centered, opportunist/defector like Crist and Spectre. I don't trust people like that as far as I can throw them.

In any event, don't help elect a turd like by Baker, which is all voting for Cahill (or staying home) will do. Bad enough we got the Brown turd.
