Delightful story on Scott Brown
Edited on Sat Oct-15-11 09:53 AM by MBS
This made my morning

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_10/scott_browns_plagiarism_flap_g032835.php
Complete with youtube video summarizing all the deservedly bad press coverage, including even thumbs-down from local (Boston) Fox News.
Concluding paragraph of the Washington Monthly story:

Remember, when we talk about Brown’s strengths as a politician, we talk about his likability and authenticity. No one is especially impressed with the senator’s inability to grasp public policy; Brown excels by way of his personality. But these qualities have taken a hit recently, first with a cheap shot at Elizabeth Warren’s appearance, and now with this flap over Brown’s memories that turned out to be someone else’s memories.

Just to twist the knife a bit, American Bridge 21st Century, which uncovered the plagiarism story, put together this clip showing media coverage of Brown’s bad week. If you’re a fan of the senator, you might want to look away.

3. Republicans never let Joe Biden off the hook for allegedly plagiarizing
comments years and years ago. And they made a huge deal of Obama's using "just words" in 2007-08, first used in 2006 about the
D of I and Constitution by the National co-chair of the Obama campaign, one Deval Patrick (when David Axelrod was Patrick's campaign advisor).

And neither of those was about pretending someone else's childhood was their own.

Still, somehow, I think Boston media will give Brown a pass, or the closest thing to a pass on this.
