8. we had about 250 people - impressive !!
the organizers, mostly from MoveOn made signs and candles available to everyone who wanted them ...

at 7:30, they had us form a huge circle and we lit our candles ... we were asked to stand silently (is that really possible?) for 45 minutes ... all sorts of cars drove by during the vigil ... a few honked their horns (we couldn't tell if they were friendly honks or hostile honks) ...

as we stood, we had to keep moving back to enlarge the circle as more and more people kept arriving ... as it grew dark, the silence became kind of eerie ... it became almost reverent ...

i felt a strong urge to speak with people there ... i suppose there's something to be said for reflection but i guess i'm more into speechifying ... bonding with others with similar political views and sharing information about our activities always seems more productive ... still, it was a great turnout ... it was nice to see people there who represented all generations ...

on my way back to my car, i chatted with the woman who had been standing next to me ... she was 85 ... the woman on the other side of me had two young kids with her ... i left with a sense that WE ARE NOW THE MAJORITY ...

now, we need to convert our numbers to success in ending the war ...

6. Is there a list somewhere of the Boston area sites?

I'm over in Cambridge and curious what the most convenient site would be.

Edit: Okay I found it. So many to choose from...

7. I'll be in bolton.
I was planning on the groton vigil but it's full to capacity. The response seems to be overwhelming.
