2. Rhetorical question
Why is there more posting activity by Massachusetts DU'ers in the lounge than there is in the Massachusetts forum?

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

3. Just in case
people who don't live in Massachusetts would like to attend this event.

It goes with living in a state you can drive through in little more than an hour (north/south). Sometimes we get people from Connecticut and Rhode Island and New Hampshire. (And I certainly don't pay a lot of attention to those fora, although arguably I should.)

7. Kick
If you have an interest in this, please visit the other thread (see link above) and let us know whether you prefer Saturday or Sunday.

If there's no clear preference and serious conflicts we could certainly do it both days.

8. The 18th may be a hard day for the Irish
To rally, the day after Evacuation/St Patrick's day can be a little rough on us.

9. So is this gonna happen?
I almost forgot about this until I was browsing through the MA forum. Either day would be fine for me but I prefer Sat.

10. I just put up a poll in the lounge to get everyone's preferred date.
Nobody was making a decision, with different folks preferring different days, so I put up a poll to see if more folks could go Sat or Sun or either day. I can do either day myself. Nobody's been on the thread yet; everyone's probably out this afternoon.

I think it's going to happen; I hope. :hi:

12. Thanks.
I was doing several things at once, with a friend talking to me at the same time, when I posted this thread. I thought I'd included the link. Guess I didn't. Thanks for adding it to the thread.

13. Decision
Acknowledging that the poll in the Lounge is a dead heat, I think I'm going to opt for Saturday, based on the (also real close, but not inconclusively so) response to the original thread.

Mrs. Squeech has been telling me that I should postpone it until April, and that has something going for it-- except I think the right thing to do would be to meet Will Pitt at Bukowski's on April Fools Day and make a bunch of ironic toasts to Chuck Hagel, Olympia Snowe, and everybody else who said they wanted the president to obey the law but weren't ever going to cast any votes to enforce that idea...

Anyway, I expect to see some of you on Saturday at the Cafe Belo on Washington Street just outside of Somerville's Union Square.

And I'm gonna cross-post this to the other threads.
