Do you like my new picture?
I loved Crusader Rabbit when I was a kid...My mother holds him responsible for my political activism. If I had thought of it when I picked my DU alias, I would have gone with CrusaderRabbit.

1. I like it!
Although I must admit that I never watched CrusaderRabbit because it was on too early in the morning. Even then, I was a night owl (night owlet, I guess).

I missed a lot of early morning TV that my peers remember. But, I watched Soupy Sales, Bullwinkle and Fractured Flickers...the weird stuff that was aired later.

Wasn't CrusaderRabbit a christian inspired show, like Davey and Goliath? Have you had the chance to view it again as an adult?

2. As far as I know, it wasn't Christian, but it was the adventures of
Crusader Rabbit and Rags the Tiger. I can remember the theme song (da-da-duh, da-da-duh, da-da-duh-duh-duh,da-da-duh, da-da-duh, da-da-duh-duh-duh, da-da-duh, da-da-duh, da-da-duh-duh-duh, dee-duh-da-da-da, dee-duh-da-da-da, dee-daw-dee-daw-dee (fade)) but nothing else about their adventures.

3. I haven't seen Crusader Rabbit since I was little
and I actually remember my story books about him better than the TV show (and the story I remeber best is CR mounting a campaign to get all the rabbits in Texas to eat carrots so their eyesight would improve and they could stop wearing glasses. Memory is a strange thing.) When I found his picture, the bio didn't say anything about him being Christian inspired - I was surprised to find out that Jay Ward, Rocky and Bullwinkle's "dad" was involved in creating him.

I've never heard of him but he must have been a cool cartoon.
