Three generations saw Al Franken today

Al was in St. Cloud and spoke to an SRO crowd at the Mississippi Bean, a local coffee shop. (Great place, stop if you are in St. Cloud.)

My 19 year old daughter, my sister and I, and my parents (WWII Vet Dad (88) and my wonderful mom (80)) saw Al speak. My parents had seen Mike Ciresi yesterday.

Overall impression--good on delivery, short on details. My daughter loved him. My parents said Ciresi was better on the details. One person asked a question about no child left behind. Al responded, "I didn't know I was taking questions", but then recovered, said it was a good question and answered it. Then said he would circulate and answer questions individually. It made me wonder why he didn't take questions.

A wide variety of people attended, lots of young people and quite a few younger folks. Did not move me from undecided.
