Michele Bachmann: "SOTU Aisle-Seat Stalker"
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 11:18 AM by Minnesota Raindog
How will Michele Bachmann embarrass Minnesota tonight at the State of the Union? Recalling last year's teenage groupie-like assault on Bush by Bachmann, no doubt all cameras will be on our nonrepresentative to see what she could possibly do to top that pathetic performance.

:puke:

It's pretty sad when these people are actually proud of the little games they play for $165,200 a year. That day spent waiting to get camera time with Bush might be better spent meeting with actual constituents, doncha think, Mrs. Marcus Bachmann?

1. That's just bizarre. But then, so is Bachmann.

3. So did Michelle get her chance at presidential leg-humping this evening?
I'm sure she'll be heartbroken if she wasn't able to manage a grope or two.

4. No, but
Soon-to-be former Congressman Chris Shays took her place:

5. As Bush left the chamber there was also a nice shot of Senator Wease
greeting him and then grinning broadly over Bush's shoulder - I think he then turned his smile on Condi. It would make some very nice footage for the DFL candidate to use in a campaign ad.

7. C.J.'s column in the Strib had an amusing note on Bachmann and the SOTU:

President Bush should have been safe from the clutches and kisses of Rep. Michele Bachmann at Monday night's SOTU.

A call to her DC office MOnday morning to find out whether she was already over a the Cap staking out a position so she could grab onto W brought "Rich, Michele's chief of staff" to the phone. "Are you a political reporter?" Rich asked....

We don't need to see another display of adult onset puberty from Bachmann bounsing around as though she's at a rock concert, placing her hand on W's shoulder until he acknowledged her, and kissig the Prez.

W's Secret Service detail probaly kept an eye on Bachmann anyhow.

6. The CD 6 DFL Congressional race is about to get very interesting...
I found this from a Google Alert I received today......

Initiating an Official Inquiry into Elwyn Tinklenberg’s Activity: Is it Unregistered Lobbying?

"In accordance with the 1995 Lobbying Disclosure Act, as amended, we believe that Elwyn Tinklenberg, President of the Tinklenberg Group, Blaine, Minnesota, is legally obligated to be registered as a Federal Lobbiest."

Read the post and the letter sent to the U.S. Attorney's office here:

8. Uhhh, Ok...whatever.
Oh yeah, I ALWAYS believe what I read about candidates on random obscure blogs. :sarcasm: Also, check your spelling in your post - I don't believe "LOBBIEST" is a word.
