We had a small but fun gathering on Eat Street today (3/8/08)

attended by jasonc, geardaddy, ocelot, and me, Lydia Leftcoast.

After about an hour at Spyhouse Coffee, we adjourned to the Evergreen Restaurant, determined to take advantage of geardaddy's expertise in Taiwanese cuisine.

The food was wonderful, with lots of interesting (and non-scary) foods. Personally, I plan to go back.

For those of you who missed this outing, we're going to do it again next month.

We were at the coffee shop till shortly after noon and at the restaurant till 2PM.

restaurants on Eat Street. So let's see, it will take about two years to try all of them...

14. Do they have good Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup there?

The only place I've found that has reasonably tasty Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup is United Noodles.

He lived in Taiwan for four years, I believe, and is the one who suggested Evergreen.

I didn't see it on the menu. I do love Taiwanese beef noodles too. Are you talking about the ones they cut directly into the beef soup that's been simmering in the same pot for 40 years?
