On Saturday March 15th, join a massive anti-war demonstration to mark the fifth anniversary of the war with a call for an end to the war and occupation.

Saturday March 15, 2008 - Minneapolis

1:00pm Gather: Hennepin and Lagoon Avenues in Uptown

1:30pm March - There will be a closing rally near Loring Park




The month of March 2008 will mark the fifth anniversary of the US war and occupation of Iraq. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have lost their lives, been injured or displaced as a result of the war and the ensuing damage to their country. Nearly 4,000 US Military personnel have died. Billions of dollars have been spent. The reasons given for the war have long ago been exposed as lies and deceptions.

The majority of the people in Iraq want US troops out of their country, and the majority of the people of the US want the troops brought back home. During the month of March, events will be held across the country and around the world to speak out against the war.

37 and sunny is great marching weather.

Somebody called last night and asked if I'd be a marshall. (Marshalls protect the marchers from pro-war brownshirt creeps that come out to yell in people's faces and start trouble). I said, Well yeah! Just don't tell any of the freepers I have a cracked rib. :)
