BTW Swift, in Washington, Norm's nickname is Senator Grab-Ass, care to know why?

Let me help, because he's a sexist, philandering pig.

It comes as no surprise to me that Norm is known as Senator Grab ass. Norm doesn't just "like chicks" he likes to cop a feel whenever he thinks he can get away with it. Despite his marital status, he crosses the line with other women on a regular basis. I know this first hand. I have met him twice. Both times he held onto my hand and would not let it go while he looked me up and down from head to toe. I was in a complete state of shock. I couldn't believe a public figure that everybody knows is married would be so openly inappropriate. The second time I was at an event in St. Paul with a 12 year old girl I was mentoring, Katie, and he was on the street corner. Katie wanted to meet Norm and since there were a lot of people around I assumed we'd be safe. I didn't think he'd be inappropriate in front of a 12 year old girl. I was wrong. Normy pulled the same hand holding oogling routine he did the first time I met him. As we walked away, Katie said "OH MY GOD! HE WAS LIKE, TOTALLY HITTING ON YOU!!!" If a 12 year old girl had the same perception I had, I know I wasn't imagining things.

One day at work I was telling my Norm story to the co-worker who sits next to me. He started laughing and said "yeah, I know all about Naughty Norm. My 22 year old daughter used to intern for him. She has a lot of stories".

I have also met Al Franken in person, on more than two occasions. Every single time he looked me in the eye, acted respectfully and discussed the issues he was running on.

Given a choice, I'll vote for the candidate who conducts himself with integrity and is faithful to his wife. In this case, Al also happens to be fighting for all the same things I am fighting for.

Some trumped up story by a paid Republican operative blogger doesn't even register on my rador.

Flash - does your book on Republican hypocracy include anything about good old right wing Christian values, unless of course its the Republican who's cheating on his wife?

3. As a rule I feel what goes on in someone's marriage is their own business
but for Norm, I'll make an exception under the hypocrisy rule. Given that this behavior has been going on for years, it's amazing how little talk there's been about it.

4. Eww.
What I can't figure out is -- assuming he's really a "womanizer" and not just a groper -- why any woman would have him.

:puke:

6. there is a RUMOR, an old one, titled "the girl in the walk-in cooler.'
since it is only a RUMOR i will not detail it here.

however, i do have the impression that Norm is what my high school friends, in their crudest moments, referred to as a (turn the page if you;re easily offended!) a hose monster. I, of course, never used language like that.

7. And then there was the rumor of Weasel Boy's relationship
with the daughter of a prominent DFL politician.

8. Worst kept secret in St.Paul
And yet it never seems to stick.

I remember reading a story about Paul Wellstone, where a woman
said that they were having a policy discussion as she was
driving him home. When they got to his house, he said
something to the effect of, "I would invite you into the
house, but Sheila isn't home yet". The woman said that at
first, she thought that he was "old fashioned", but
later, she realized that Paul must have known that the
Republicans would go after him with any hint or suggestion of
impropriety.

It's odd that Norm doesn't even seem to try to be circumspect,
I guess he thinks he doesn't have to.
