Does anyone think Pawlenty will run for Klobuchar's seat?
I heard some speculation yesterday about that, and wondered if anyone believes he'll try it. I don't think he will, but...

1. Timmy is ambitious, so I'm sure he'll run for something, sooner or later.
If it's Klobuchar's seat, she'd better get busy right now and figure out how to stop alienating her constituency with her wishy-washy positions and rude staffers.

2. I've had no dealings with Klobuchar. She's certainly not the
most progressive Senator ever, but she seems to be popular in a bi-partisan kind of way. Her voting record in the Senate is OK, most of the time, as far as I can determine, but she's certainly no liberal firebrand. I've also heard Emmer's name put out there as a possible opponent. All I know is that she's going to be an issue in 2012, so I'm trying to get more familiar with her. Caucuses are coming before we know it.

9. Emmer would have the as Pawlenty or
maybe even worse. Emmer has been been openly farther to the right of Pawlenty, that would be more of a liability against Amy as she is seen as very moderate and open.

3. No.
He'll wait, again, for the VP phone to ring. And again, he'll be waiting a long time.

4. You'd think he would have learned from 2008.

6. Well, he is a Republican, after all, so I suppose you're right.

7. Yes. He has to have some income and this is all they know how to do. Amy's
seat might be safe as she is well liked somewhat. T-Paw will always have a job as they Conservatives have tons of money and employed Normie Coleman.

8. No, I don't think he'll run for Klobuchar's seat
I realize he hasn't made this decision yet (while I have for him) because he's "prayfully" considering his next step on the "pathway" (not "path" because he needs to use his code words for appeal...although he couldn't keep up with Bachmann & Perry on that though).

We'll see, but I think he got so set on the Presidency that my take is he thinks Senator or even another run at Governor would be a step back.

Taco Tony and Party friends can try to float the "vs. Amy", but Pawlenty won't do it because he knows he'd lose. Her popularity numbers are the highest, I think, of any Senator (certainly any Dem) up for reelection. Is he a "take one for the team" type of guy? I don't think so.

Of course, I want him to go away. Just go away.

10. No, not Amy's seat. But perhaps Franken's seat.
I think that would appeal to him are U.S. Senate or governor, but I think he would realize that he would lose (in part, because I think there will be a swing back from the Republicans in 2012 ... *if* the Democrats get busy now and then run hard and strong campaigns).

Whoever runs against Franken in 2014 will get a ton of cash from outside the state to run, plus the support of FOX News, Limbaugh, etc.

For now, I am sure he'll do quite well collecting an income from some Koch Brothers' creation.
