Unions and Mn Government
I am talking about the recent fight between Gov Dayton and the GOP over daycare workers receiving state aid having the governor authorize a vote for unionizing. I am going to have to read more on this, but not on the opinion pages, that is for sure because I am thoroughly confused by this whole thing.

My rhetorical questions.
There must be some mechanism for starting a union and another one for starting a union in a class that has not been unionized?

A judge stopped the vote, decicion to be formally put forth on Dec 14th saying this was a matter for the Legislature So Unions are only under the Legislature so why do Governors in other states outlaw them?

Did the US House just rewrite the Constitution regarding Executive Branch rules?

When the revolution comes and we rewrite the constitution to take away personhood and dictatorship by use of $$ from the corporations via corrupt politicians in both parties are we going to have to put the right of workers to organize at least at some level in the new Constitution? Unions get corrupt too so that is tricky but right now workers are slaves and health care workers are told to put people's lives in danger due to corporate decisions that have nothing to do with medicine but only profit.

It is just on my mind I guess. I believe that unions made America strong and that corruption can happen in any group which is why we had a judicial system that sort of worked at one time.

My grandfather said that hunger was a constant threat despite the fact that he was an honest hard working man with a limited education due to his guardian pulling him out after the 6th grade to work on the farm until he got a union job in 1952. He worked as a forman retrofitting airplanes during WWII but lost out when the guys came home as he was past draft age at the time. He would do and did any honest work and to keep his family from starving what would anyone do? Duh?

Add to that even the Democrats are taking away birth control another enslaving thing.

Rant off. Carry on. I just wish that people were not so brainwashed, including elected Dems about how things actually work.

Very disturbing events.
