Dina Titus to challenge Jon Porter in NV-3

Robert Daskas dropped out two months ago, some say forced out in favor of Titus, the losing Democratic gov nominee in 2006. She carried this congressional district narrowly vs. Jim Gibbons.

Everyone expects the Titus/Porter race to be tight, and among the 10 most watched races in the country.

Turnout in today's primary was estimated at 15%. That would shatter the previous low of 23% in 2000.

I voted early last Wednesday night at a shopping mall. There were maybe 10 poll workers and 3 voters.

In Clark County (Las Vegas) turnout was estimated at 7%. That should be a lesson to posters on this site and elsewhere who project Obama to win easily in Nevada. Las Vegas simply does not turn out. Obviously the 7% is not relevant to November but the lock is Clark County will have lower percentage turnout than the so-called cow counties.
