BLECH! Caribou Barbie in Asheville this weekend.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will make a weekend campaign stop in North Carolina.

A release from the John McCain campaign said Palin will visit Asheville on Sunday for a "Road To Victory Rally" at the Asheville Civic Center.

The event is scheduled to begin after 4 p.m.

To protest or not to protest, that is the question.

2. She'll be just a block from my house.
I really can't stand the thought of it. But, I am curious to watch the mouth breathers drag their knuckles in to town.

6. Might be fun, but bad
Ultimately, their knuckles are going to cut a grove into the street that will have to be repaired.

I'm so sorry for you. i don't know that I could wash my house off enough or take enough showers to get the slime off that she brings with her.

Zombies pose no threat at Palin event
Mike McWilliams • MMcWilliams@CITIZEN-TIMES.com • published October 25, 2008 12:51 am

... Dan Burrello, who started the Asheville Zombie Walk in 2006, said he spoke with the Secret Service and Palin advance team about the walk.

“I mean, when you see 700 shambling dead zombies walking toward the Civic Center up the bridge, it would probably get the Secret Service's attention,” Burrello said with a laugh Friday. “So we gave them a heads up on it to make sure they know we're not doing any kind of protest or (are a) threat in anyway.”

The Asheville Zombie Walk starts at Montford Park and will end with a party at Asheville Brewing Company on Coxe Avenue ...

“It's fascinating because regardless of the party, so much of politics is mindlessly following,” Burrello said.

Also a splendid opportunity to share good humor:

Q. What's the difference between Sarah Palin and a zombie?
A. The zombie wants brains

7. Today's paper showed photos of people making "I (heart) Sarah" signs
Some of the comments from the online Asheville Citizen-Times:

One woman said she once considered supporting Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama, but said she is concerned about some of the people Obama has associated with. She thinks Palin has potential to be a great leader.

“Sarah Palin is my hero. She’s smart and she’s brave.”

“I like Sarah Palin because she's a normal, average person, and I believe that she's not a typical Washington insider”. “I think we need to do away with all the bureaucrats in Washington.”

8. zombies try to find Sarah's Brain
without any luck, I fear... still, she maintains her composure, even under zombie attack
