Important post... restaurant recommendations!

I've been in the Triangle just over two years and have yet to find:

1. Really good pho/Vietnamese (Dalat is pretty good, as is La Vie on Capital Blvd.)
2. Afghan.
3. Peruvian chicken.

Then again, I haven't been looking that hard. Any ideas, other than drive to DC for a weekend? :-) Thanks.

1. what is Peruvian chicken?

Are there really restraunts that are that specialized? Admittedly I like chicken and Latin food so it might be right up my alley.

A place I went to in Northern Virginia served 1/4 chicken, house salad, yucca fries (with an aioli I could drink with a straw), and a Diet Coke for under $6. They're usually dive-y, but who cares? They're good! :-)

I can't have the wine but would use vinegar in its place.

4. There are many Hmong here, so the Pho is pretty good

But it's still a drive from Ral./CH/Dur.

I'm between Statesville and Hickory. Hickory has at least 3 noodle houses. The best (most authentic) is a restaurant attached to the Asian market in Conover NC. Very liberal with the hot chiles....
