Nice pay if you can get it
The gap between the governor's words and the salaries of his top staff

Published on Thursday, Jan 20, 2011

John Kasich kept his promise. When word surfaced that the governor would pay his top aides significantly higher salaries than paid during the Ted Strickland years, Kasich explained that his overall staff budget would be lower than his predecessor spent. Sure enough, the new team will have 69 employees at a cost of $6 million. Strickland spent roughly $6.4 million for a staff of 77.

End of story? Not exactly.

1. Not $47,000 a year but $47,000 a year more than the same job under Strickland
And then they have the nerve to tell the rest of Ohio that the state is in bad financial condition and services must be cut.

:nuke:

And the blind voters keep voting for these assholes.

3. Let's not forget
Kasich has already said that he is opposed to paying "prevailing wages" for publicly funded jobs. He is gunning for the teachers' unions, firefighters, and police unions.

Apparently NONE of those people are "talented" enough to deserve higher compensation.
