mortgage delinquent, can't sleep
I recd a threatening letter from Wells Fargo today. The weird thing is that I'm not more than a month late; however, I have some late fees which have accumulated over the last 2 months.

I lost my job & haven't been able to find comparable work and my husband had his pay reduced by 10% due to "economic conditions" and company 401(k) contributions eliminated. I have to call Wells Fargo tomorrow and try to work something out and I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about requesting a "forebearance" from their mortgagor. Thank you.

1. The banks seem to be panicking, still, and acting carnivorously.
I have no information or help to offer, except to say good luck. It's too easy in modern life to let these things destroy your spirit. Take a step back, and place yourself in the broad swath of human history -- that's what I do when things get scary.

Breathe. To be alive is both beautiful and terrifying. You must not paralyze up; that's the great danger. Keep moving, keep trying, keep talking, until you turn to dust.

Don't lose your temper with Wells Fargo, or whine. Just keep trying, and keep your dignity. Think your way through it. It's the only way.

Sorry I don't have more to offer.

2. I feel for you
My company is getting crazy with our benefits too. I'd recommend going to Legal Aid. Maybe they can help you. Hang in there.

4. Troubles in Tulsa
Where is all the business and money ending up? In the pockets
of a very few ultra right that live behind barred gates.
Their lives are private and secret and managed by insolent
introverts who derive their job security from acting like well
behaved children and
bending to daddy's wishes. Take heart for the new
administration will replace the old distribution of fortune
with a renewed American spirit that places power in the human
spirit. As far as the old, staid corporations they are as
decrepit as the mortar in the seams of their building's
blocks, their 401K's and retirement plans are a momentary
incentive to bring about obeyance and a flocking instinct
amongst their employees, but they no longer work. It is a new
system now with the Internet and e-commerce opportunities
everywhere we turn.

Be imaginative, because in their dewar's drunkenness and
immobility we are all afforded the opportunity to surpass
their aged mentalities, and bring about a more feasable
meaning to life without them.
