I was out of state for 3 days last week and part of the weekend; I didn't hear about this until I went looking to see if anything was going on.

I'm on the Deschutes Dem e-mail list, got a msg from them about last Friday's OWS, unable to attend, but will try to make it to Drake Park Saturday. Nice that KTVZ covered it, and thanks for the links.

I thought it was a good turnout, and the crowd well-behaved and energetic. The "Punks for Occupation" were kinda cool! Had wondered if I might encounter you, though of course had no way of knowing who you might be. Please say you weren't the lady in a pink jacket whose grandson, maybe 8 or so, was sitting on the steps near the speakers. 'Cause if you were, I'll be ticked with myself for not taking a chance and using the secret DU signal (whatever that is--just kiddin'!). Anyway, there's another gathering on the 29th. Seem to have misplaced that card with details Ray was circulating, but if you're planning to attend, maybe we could meet then. I'd like that.

I thought KTVZ did a good job with the reporting. Will check out the "Occupy" encampment across from Pioneer Park next time I'm in Bend.

5. I was NOT wearing a pink jacket.

My grandson, who is 11, WAS sitting on the steps near the speakers. He's small for his age. He was the boy the "moneyopoly" speaker asked if he'd played monopoly.

I was not far away, wearing a pale lavender shirt; no jacket.

I will be there on the 29th. Don't know what I'm wearing yet, lol, but we can set something up ahead of time.
