Anyone care to recommend a Democratic General Practitioner
praticing in the Columbia/West Columbia/ Cayce/ Lexington areas. I recently discovered there are medical professionals who are apparently in line with the "tea party," and they can be quite hostile to those of us who are 75, living below the poverty level and are "tax taking," lard asses who actually need to use Medicare/Medicaid. I learned this MD's attitude, unfortunately, as the sedation was being injected into my arm. I survived the procedure, obviously, but if this insanity continues, I would feel more comfortable with a GP who cares more about the health of people, rather then their politics or financial status.

Anybody know of a competent, qualified, humane, liberal, or unbiased MD, preferably an active member of the Democratic Party?????

Thanks.

2. If you are willing to drive to Augusta, I can recommend a great general practitioner
I don't know his political views, but he is definitely competent, as well as being a really decent person, who actually listens to his patients.

4. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, I have already committed to a Physician's Assistant at Doctors Care.

I am so grateful that someone responded, and, of coure, there is a story to be told.

The last GP I had was actually a partner at Saluda Medicine, but I couldn't stand the man, because h e so obviously couldn't stand me. I had seen Dr. Stacy on one occasion, for an emergency, but I hesitated to ask anyone at that practic, or any practice, about their political position.

I very much liked Dr. Stacy (She told me to call her that because her last name appeared difficult to pronouncne, but I needed to get away from that partner of hers. Seeing him was so humiliating and futile that I just went without a Primary Care Physician for almost two years.

I have so many specialists, I really needed someone to have all the information as to what was flaring up and what was doing okay.

Thank YOU very, very much. I wish I had read this sooner, but I had already committed to the PA at Doctors Care by August.
