Parents outraged at teacher who made six-year-old students rub her FEET
Source: Daily Mail

Parents of first graders at a South Carolina elementary school are outraged over a teacher who picked out students in her class to rub her feet.

The teacher at Batesburg-Leesville Primary School, who has not been named, was disciplined, but still has her job teaching six and seven-year-olds, leaving the community troubled.

The allegations came out when one of the teacher's students told her grandmother she didn't want to give any more foot massages.

1. My first thought was "how dare she, " but then my logic kicked in and I realized that the world
might be a nicer place if all children learned how to give a really good foot massage.

Kids have certainly learned worse at school.

2. It's America. Anything that includes the word "rubbing" is pervy.

3. It is clearly not OK to *require* this of students.
I'm not really clear on whether it's OK to *ask* this of students. The students assigned to your class are not your slave labor force, nor should they be coerced by an authority figure into physical contact of any sort (ie., even "volunteering" students may feel coerced).

The teacher should probably be reassigned to a rubber room. Parents should sue if they are not satisfied with the discipline handed down by the school. They would win.

6. You should start some
I am certainly not going to ignore these issues and will not stop expressing my disgust that we shelter too many teachers and let them keep their jobs after shit like this.
