Nancy Skinner is a strong, progressive candidate, whose top issue is the environment. She has received a lot of important endorsements around the country and a vote for her can help us take back the House. You can learn more about her at www.skinnerforcongress.com.
DFA polls are open through Friday for the runoff between the top 5 candidates.
Winning will mean a lot for Nancy's campaign to help her unseat Joe Knollenberg in the Michigan 9th District -- a 50/50 district, which we can win. You can vote for your top 3 candidates, so if you are supporting another candidate, you can vote for him or her and make Nancy your second choice. The votes will be tallied using instant runoff voting. There is an explanation on the DFA site.

Nancy Skinner here, the Democratic candidate in Michigan's 9th CD (suburban Detroit) - fresh off the Yearly Kos convention where I was in attendance. In addition to getting energized, I was able to meet with Joe Trippi and bring him on board the Skinner campaign!

Why do I deserve it?

I started as an environmentalist and pioneered progressive radio to get our voices heard much the way the blogosphere has continued to expand the national conversation. As a congresswoman I will help the auto industry green itself by producing more hybrids, plug-in hybrids and fuel-cell vehicles. Buzzflash.com just posted an interview with me that says a lot about where I have been and where I'm going
http://www.buzzflash.com/interviews/06/06/int06023.html The really good news is that I can win! This district is a 50/50 district and Republicans have an ugly primary while Democrats have united. I'd love you to visit my website www.skinnerforcongress.com, watch me on video on TV, and give us feedback (and hopefully your DFA vote)!
Help elect me to Congress and C-Span will get a lot more interesting... Nancy Skinner (DEM MI-09) www.skinnerforcongress.com
Thanks, everyone.
