Anybody heard if there any hotel rooms in Oklahoma?
I know they're supposed to be all full around here.

I'm just worried that if we lose power, I could be screwed as far as not having any air conditioning or even power to run an area fan. The MS makes me really susceptible to the heat.

I doubt there are any generators to still be found around, but I'll try to find one.

Failing that, reprehensor and I were thinking about grabbing the pets and trying to head north.

Anyone know?

Not.

I'm wondering about La Quintas. They take pets. There is a bed and breakfast in OKC that takes pets showing a vacancy too.

4. Hey! You can have one of my rooms
I have two reserved, but my in-laws are too stupid to come, so I was going to cancel it.

Hampton Inn Las Colinas. Call me on the cell (I'm getting ready to bug out).

5. Hey sweetie...haven't you left yet?
You'll have to send me your cel again...I can't find the number. Ack!

See, thing is, we won't be doing anything unless we lose power, and even then not unless it gets an hour or 2 along with no end in sight.

Go ahead and cancel the rooms if you need to.

6. Leaving in about an hour
Freeways all clogged; waiting for the I-45 contraflow to show some effect.

Left you the # just now in your cell voicemailbox.

7. Thanks!
Now QUIT USING MY CELLPHONE.

We rarely use it, and I don't want to risk missing an important message from you right now!

That's an order!

8. It looks like it will pass way east of Austin now.
Isn't that where you are? We'll be on the "dry side" and might not even get any rain.

9. We are east of Dallas...
in Rockwall County, right on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. That green dot is just a bit to the east of us.

Nothing against our friends in Arkansas, but I hope it curves just a little more to the east as it comes north.

10. Good news...
I found a little 110 Husky combo generator/tire inflator/auto battery charger for $89.

It should give me just enough power to run our little area fan so I don't melt. Better that than spending mucho bucks for a hotel room (especially one that takes Great Pyrs! They're rather large and intimidating!)

12. Working on that.
We're hitting Big Lots for some more water on the way home tonight, plus some easy to eat food and such. Ice is also on my list.

13. Okay good
I just know how I am. I'd be looking at the big picture (generator) and forget the smaller item (ice).
