David Murff is in the Band of Brothers
David Murff is a solid and credible candidate running against John Culberson (aka DeLay's lap dog) for the US Dist. 7 seat. I was very excited to see that he has joined up with the Band of Brothers. We have another Paul Hackett, guys!

Culberson, you lap dog-- be afraid, be very afraid.

I am proud to be among the nearly 50 veterans who have chosen to run as Democrats for the 110th Congress. In 2006, Band of Brothers will propose a bold new progressive politic that stresses American values, cuts across partisan lines, and provides a real choice between a country that works for the few and one that creates opportunity for all.

Values and Patriotism – Clarity on which values are to be honored and which values are under siege.

Corporate Responsibility – Reinforce the sensibilities of the middle class while illustrating how neo-conservative agendas encourage corruption and greed in big corporations.

Exposing Bush – Put the spotlight on policies that benefit the 1%, on Republican base strategy, payoffs, and cronyism.

Foreign Policy – Not contesting the need to fight the war on terror, but illustrating that the Bush foreign policy makes it more difficult and costly.

The Economy – Serious discussion on low income growth, increasing inequality, rising health care cost, cuts in public services, and a deepening middle class squeeze.

Community Leaders Endorse David Early in the Campaign!

Chris Bell, one of two Democratic Gubenatorial Candidates for Texas, has stepped forward endorsing David and thanking him for seeking to replace John Culberson as Representative to Congressional District 7. Having served in Congress with Culberson, Chris is all too familiar with Culberson's close ties to the censured, indicted former House Majority Leader, Tom Delay.

David Van Os, candidate for Texas Attorney General, has stepped forward endorsing David's campaign. Texas deserves a great Attorney General, and David Van Os is that man!

Herman Litt, former Houston Community College Trustee and 2005 City Council Candidate.

Mark Lee, Tax Attorney, 2005 City Council Candidate and 2003 City of Houston Comptroller Candidate.

Richard Morrison, Attorney and 2004 Democratic Congressional Candidate, having run against Tom Delay.

Joe Jaworski, Attorney, three term Galveston City Councilman and current Galveston Mayor Pro Tem.

2. I met David in Sept just before he announced to run
I was glad he sought the advise of current members of Congress and others before jumping in. I think he is the complete package. Knows what he is talking about, presents himself well. Family guy. Young. Energetic. His wife is a teacher. American pie, yada yada yada.

And he has a beer occasionally. My kind of dude!

He is running a Richard Morrison type of campaign. On the phone constantly asking for donations and support. Researching, reading, investigating issues that affect his area.

Although he is not in my district, his office is down the street from me and he joins us for our weekly lunch. I volunteer when I can for his campaign. (therefore my opinions may be biased)

I've been impressed with his knowledge of the issues. His business sense comes out when discussing economic policies. With a teacher in the house, he knows about public education. He has a very impressive resume.

And his best friend and biggest critic seems to be his father in law. They make a pretty good team.

3. Thanks for the post John
He's even got higher stock with me now. Both you and David Van Os speaking out for him personally. I really dream about getting this great slate of new fresh committed candidates in Congress and in the Texas Legislature. Visualize winning!!! And then work like hell to make it so.
