State representative candidate Katy Hubener today launched a flight of television ads on local stations to encourage voters to support her call for better public schools in the February 28 special election to fill the vacant District 106 seat in the Texas House of Representatives.

Hubener has been endorsed by the Texas State Teachers Association, the American Federation of Teachers, the Texas Association of Realtors, countless labor organizations and other public education and community groups.
Hubener graduated summa cum laude with a masters degree in higher education from Claremont Graduate University. Hubener also holds an undergraduate degree in education from Texas Tech University and is a certified Texas classroom teacher.
“There is only one issue in this special election on February 28 -- electing someone we trust to put our children first during the legislative session to fund public schools” Hubener said in the television commerical.
Hubener has worked for the prestigious Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, Northwood University, and the Dallas County Community College District as a college admissions officer, college professor, and public relations director.
