Gen. Wesley Clark on Bob Gammage
"I support Bob Gammage because he's the strongest Democrat in this race and has the most progressive platform for the people of Texas... He is a proven leader who will fight for the needs of all Texans, not the lobbyists, the special interests or the powerful partisan elites. He's grown up with Texas values of independence, integrity and commitment to family and neighbors and he will carry those values into the governor's office. I look forward to helping him in his fight to build a better Texas."

1. I voted for Bob Today
Even though I have never heard of him,or the others running for governor or Lt.gov.I was thinking the party was putting up people with no name recognition.

2. Yea! Name identification will come as the general election blooms. For the
future, I think we should look at moving the primary back. We moved it way up to March to perhaps have a greater effect in the presidential elections but so many other states did the same thing that Texas has no greater influence on the national nomination that we ever did but now we are overly rushed between the end of the deadline of candidate declarations and the primary vote. I think we'd nominate better candidates (with less dependence on TV ads) if we had a longer primary season and a shorter general election season like we used to have.

3. Today
1359 Democrats voted and 132 repukes,it looks like there was a lot of crossover voting by repukes.

6. In Harris County. . .
The Dem numbers so far are only about 40% of the Rep numbers :-(

Hope the Dems aren't holding out for the Independents. . .
