K-K-Krazy Republican candidates for Texas Governor
Edited on Sun Feb-26-06 03:29 PM by TexasLawyer
This Sunday's Houston Chronicle has a big section entitled "Voter's Guide." (Section Q) It's a "must read," not least because parts of it are hilarious.

There are a couple of Republican candidates that are, judging by their profiles, somewhat to the right of Attilla the Hun on the issues. And these candidates seem to share Attilla's subtlety and "gift of gab" as well. Two of the three opponents to Rick Perry in the primary for Texas governor are fall-down funny.

Check out this profile--

Larry Kilgore

• Political experience: Candidate, Republican primary, Texas House of Representatives District 93, 2004; Constitution Party nominee, Colorado House of Representatives, 1998; candidate, GOP primary, Colorado House, 1996.
• Work experience: Telecommunications, data base engineering, real estate.
• Education: AA, Community College of the Air Force, systems engineering.
• Other background: Born Nov. 14, 1964, Amarillo; served, U.S. Air Force; resident of Grand Prairie.

RESPONSES
1. Priority: Cutting the property tax is important. The support for government indoctrination (public schools) will collapse just like the support for Marxism collapsed in the East. It'll probably happen in a big whoosh, just like the fall of the Berlin Wall. When this occurs government will no longer need to steal money from the taxpayers to fund the public schools money pit.

2. Business tax: No! I hate public schools and stupid taxes. :wow:I do not want any taxes going to support these godless, humanistic child indoctrination centers called public schools.:wow::wow::wow:

3. Sales tax: No! Finding another way for government to steal money through taxation is not the answer. Cut the spending.

4. Teacher pay: No! If teachers want more money, they should get a real job. :wow:Maybe one that actually increases GDP, instead of being leeches on our economy.

Candidate "Star Locke" of Corpus Christi is a variation on this theme.

1. Larry Kilgore has a picture of a bloody baby on his home page
Not kidding. He thinks abortion is the most serious issue facing Texans.

3. Correction-- he does NOT have a bloody baby on his home page
He has TWO bloody babies. 'Cause I guess one is not enough.

He also has this single, stirring campaign promise on his home page in 24 point type:

Larry Kilgore for Texas Governor 2006

My first priority as governor will be to submit to Biblical law given to us by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. My job, according to 1st Peter 2:14, will be to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

I guess Larry doesn't go in for that separation of church and state clap-trap. Just a good-ole' Taliban-style theocracy. Gotta love it!

2. Perry's responses deleted, but posted here:
RESPONSES
1. Priority: Cutting taxes for those who fund my campaigns such as the insurance industry and homebuilding industry. Cut taxes by starving our schools then calling for privatization.

2. Business tax: Not for my campaign donors.

3. Sales tax: Yes, let those who have no lobbyists pay the most.

4. Teacher pay: No. If they want more money, they need to get a real job instead of sucking off the tax payers dollars..

7. I thought it was high-handed for
both Perry and DeLay to (apparently) refuse to submit responses on the Chronicle's issues.

8. But maybe if they were answering truthfully
their responses would actually resemble your tongue-in-cheek, cynical filled-in responses.

So, on second-thought I guess I would stay mum too, if that's all I had to say.

5. Rhett R. Smith is pretty whacked as well.
"Rick Perry's blasphemy against God, and against conservative Republicans, is driving God out of Texas."

10. whoa--
You weren't kidding!

I like the way he calls ALL muslims "pigs," and his use of one of the Danish riot cartoons to illustrate his brilliant point.:sarcasm:

"ALL COWARDS"...hide there faces.. kill innocent women and children..... WOW!! .....real mean.....real tough..... that is why you won't come out and fight....your chicken. Yet in your case...... .your a pig. Your all pigs. Without the USA......you all would be living in tents on the sand......in the desert......eating goats and bugs. WOW!! True ISLAMIC "heroes". .....super men.....wow....your pretty good at fighting women and children.... how are you......when they come a little bigger"?.... Are you having any of it?" John Wayne seconded by General Star Locke

STEP OUT SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!

Found at the "Facts about Islam"/ "Read More" tab

You know this guy really should not oppose education so much-- he could use a trip back to school to learn how contractions are spelled.
