This Sunday's Houston Chronicle has a big section entitled "Voter's Guide." (Section Q) It's a "must read," not least because parts of it are hilarious.
There are a couple of Republican candidates that are, judging by their profiles, somewhat to the right of Attilla the Hun on the issues. And these candidates seem to share Attilla's subtlety and "gift of gab" as well. Two of the three opponents to Rick Perry in the primary for Texas governor are fall-down funny.

RESPONSES
1. Priority: Cutting the property tax is important. The support for government indoctrination (public schools) will collapse just like the support for Marxism collapsed in the East. It'll probably happen in a big whoosh, just like the fall of the Berlin Wall. When this occurs government will no longer need to steal money from the taxpayers to fund the public schools money pit.
2. Business tax: No! I hate public schools and stupid taxes. :wow:I do not want any taxes going to support these godless, humanistic child indoctrination centers called public schools.:wow::wow::wow:
3. Sales tax: No! Finding another way for government to steal money through taxation is not the answer. Cut the spending.
4. Teacher pay: No! If teachers want more money, they should get a real job. :wow:Maybe one that actually increases GDP, instead of being leeches on our economy.
Candidate "Star Locke" of Corpus Christi is a variation on this theme.
