Collin County GOP: Infighting over use of God as a campaign issue.
Oh, this is rich! The Republican primary for County Judge was a three-way battle--incumbent and two challengers. I somehow got on the email list of one of the challengers. The third place challenger, as it turned out. Now there is a run off between the incumbent and challenger #2. #3 has switched his support to the incumbent and just sent out this email today.

Good Afternoon My Friends!

My good friend Jack Bick, publisher of Inside Collin County Business,
asked me to forward this email to my friends. He has done a good job
of summarizing where we are at in Collin County for the run-off
election. I can personally tell you that my wife Kimberly and I were
sickened by the use of "God" as a campaign issue by many of Keith
Self's supporters during the primary election. The election needs to
be about the issues and not who is the most 'Godly" candidate. I am
willing to put my religious beliefs and activities up against any
current elected official or current candidate in this county..bar none.
However, I was raised to not wear my religion on my sleeve. As it says
in the bible...when Jesus entered the temple he sat at the back and he
noticed the hypocrites sitting up front.
This is all I will say at
this point. More to come later. Please read what Jack Bick's thoughts
are on this election. I always welcome your thoughts.

On another subject, Keith Self says that "he" is the most Christian
candidate. How does he define that position?

Has Self sinned less that other candidates?

Has Self done more charitable works?

Has Self donated more time, talent and treasure than other candidate?

As for me, the only one to decide on my standing as a Christian will be
my Creator and He will make that decision at the time of my death.

As for Mr. Self, I will vote for proven leadership that has brought us
roads as fast as possible, leadership that has kept the tax rate as one
of the lowest in the state and leadership without blemish for 16 years.

Vote for the Re-Election of Ron Harris as Collin County Judge on April
11.

Ya'll invited the fundies into your bed. Now they've turned into the crazy stalker who won't go away. I'm crying for you.
