Inquiry sought into allegations of voter fraud in Duval County
Saw this posted on LBN, thought I would cross post since this concerns Texas. It would be interesting to see who benefited from this fraud. Anybody know? The article didn't even mention anything about the outcome.

Is the AG going to investigate?

Is the SOS going to investigate?

OY!

SAN DIEGO, TEXAS - Allegations of voter fraud have surfaced in Duval County, where records show one of every two voters who cast a ballot in the Democratic primary did so away from the polls, using the mail.

Longtime county clerk Oscar Garcia Jr. said the number of mail-in ballots in the primary was unusually high in the South Texas county, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

More than half of the 5,641 votes cast were through absentee balloting. That amounts to 2,958 ballots sent by mail, more than all the early voting in the county's 2004 primary when about 2,800 ballots were cast both in person and by mail.

Jon West, assistant district attorney for Duval County, said he called for a state probe after receiving complaints about mail-in vote irregularities.

The Texas Attorney General's Office confirmed it received a referral letter March 16 about Duval County from the Secretary of State's Office, the state elections agency.

2. Who does it benefit? Who wrote the check?
Has Duval County EVER had a "clean" election? Dead people vote there. People who don't live there vote there. The people that DO live there vote multiple times.

It's the preferred venue in Texas for plaintiff's attorneys, since they inevitably win. I think the place must be governed by feudal lords or somthing - Clinton Manges died years ago, so I don't know who the current Earl of Duval is, but apparently the old juke box still cranks out the familiar tunes....

Ballot Issues in Texas

Looks like we need to do a little work in Duval. It's one of the counties that Gene (not the dead dancer) did well in.

RACE NAME EARLY VOTES PERCENT TOTAL PERCENT
U. S. Senator
Darrel Reece Hunter 207 10.78% 340 11.92%
Gene Kelly 1,042 54.29% 1,540 54.03%
