Dallas for Kerry/Edwards . Republicans for Kerry !!

Republicans for Kerry Community

Who are we?
We were life-long, active Republicans, but we believe the good of our country must come first. We want a balanced budget and a reduced national debt. We want a collaborative approach to foreign policy and for America to be respected in the world. We want good jobs for all Americans. We want our government to make and enforce reasonable protections against abusive companies. We want affordable health care and prescription drug coverage. We want common-sense regulations that protect our environment. And we want a president who respects privacy and equality for all citizens. That's why we're proudly voting for John Kerry.

What is Republicans for John Kerry all about?
We are ordinary Republicans from across the political spectrum -- moderate, conservative and progressive -- who believe in the sanctity of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. This unites us in our desire to return our country and our party to the traditional values that have been abandoned by the present extremist administration and their exclusionary allies in Congress. We are supporting a Democrat, John Kerry, because we believe he more honestly represents these values so vital to the health and well-being of our democracy. On the important issues of foreign policy, fiscal responsibility, tax policy, energy, the environment, media consolidation, civil liberties and trust, history has shown us all too clearly that John Kerry will be a far better steward than the present administration. We believe that all Americans should heed George Washington's wisdom and put country before party.

It is our hope that after this election our party will return to its roots in the spirit of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt, and again represent the mainstream of Republican thinking.

1. I wondered if there were any moderate Republicans anymore...
I believe in the two or more party system. The present administration has used the Republican party for its selfish ends. American will be better off with a civil debate of the issues and legislation built through compromise.

6. File and Publicize State Bar Ethics Complaints Against John O'Neill
HELP ME MAKE SURE TEXAS MEDIA REPORTS THAT AN ETHICS COMPLAINT HAS BEEN FILED AGAINST O'NEILL AND HE COULD BE DISBARRED

Start calling the Texas newspapers and TV Stations and starting asking, start a buzz...

Stop John O'Neill and force accountability upon him - this is how...

John E. O'Neill, author of Unfit for Command, is an attorney licensed and practicing in Texas. Rumor has it he thinks he will be appointed a federal judge...let's not let that happen.

According to the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct:

Rule 8.02 Judicial and Legal Officials (a) A lawyer shall not make a statement that the lawyer knows to be false or with reckless disregard as to its truth or falsity concerning the *qualifications or integrity* of a judge, adjudicatory official or public legal officer, or of a *candidate for election* or appointment to judicial or legal office.

Rule 8.04 Misconduct (a) A lawyer shall not: (3) engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation;

The State Bar can sanction him, suspend his license or even DISBAR him.

PLEASE WRITE, FAX, FED EX THE TEXAS STATE BAR TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THESE VIOLATIONS - including specific examples would be best:

7. Think anyone might want to attend The Texas Truth Convention?
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 11:34 AM by anarchy1999
www.texastruthconvention.org

We are all tired of having Texas be considered a throw away state.

Are you a member or said group, if not do you think they'd want to be invited or would they be offended?

on edit:
whoops, I didn't check out their home page. Info is already up on the front page, right hand banner! Ignore this message. Sorry.
