1. Well I'm hoping for the chance to see him on the 28th, already signed up
I missed the Dallas rally, didn't want to waste my gas money, and time with no guarantee that I would get in. I also stayed up to late watching voter returns, and had a huge headache. Certainly didn't want to attend a rally with a raging headache. I think I could hear them all the way over to Cowtown.

They still don't have the info of where it will be held, but I have the number to their HQ's just in case I don't get an email. I'll post any info I can get to the forum.

I went to the delegate training seminar yesterday and it was packed, standing room only. They said it was the largest crowd ever.

Thanks for posting Sonia, was about to do it myself, but got involved in watching Sen. Kerry on C-SPAN.

2. I hope you go too MM
And I'm sorry you missed Kerry, too.

I didn't see Kerry on this tour, but he did come to Austin in 2005 to talk about his heathcare plan.

From Representative Lon Burnam's message this morning
(snip)
I am also hosting three precinct convention trainings this Saturday to help Obama supporters do the second part of the "Texas Two Step". Please plan on attending your precinct convention Tuesday evening March 4th. Be there at the close of voting at 7:00pm.

The Saturday March 1st trainings are at 10am, 2pm and 4pm.
Please meet me at 10am at 1208 W. Magnolia Ave, or
2pm at Lincoln Park on the Northside or again at
4pm at 1208 West Magnolia

Each of these trainings will be geared towards helping first time precinct convention attendees make a difference to elect Barack Obama president.

I am recommending that people bring multiple copies to thier Precicnt Convention of "Precinct Conventions 101" available here:
From the Tarrant County Democrats web site:
Precinct Conventions 101 pdf file

13. Thanks for posting this Sonia
I went to the training last weekend, but will probably attend this one also. The one last weekend was standing room only, and there seemed to be a bit of confusion in how it was presented.

Maybe this will be more of an intimate discussion.

Fire Up and Ready To Go:hi:

Down by the river, thousands come to cheer Obama
San Marcos finds itself getting lots of attention from Clinton, Obama campaigns

SAN MARCOS — Thousands of Hays County residents, who have seen more national political figures in the past week than in the previous 40 years, roared for Barack Obama on Wednesday night at a spotlighted rally straddling both banks of the San Marcos River.

Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts stumped for the Illinois U.S. senator last Thursday. On Monday, Chelsea Clinton stumped for her mother, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton. Then came Obama, who started a three-day return tour of Texas earlier Wednesday in Duncanville and was introduced in San Marcos by Lyndon Nugent, former President Johnson's grandson. Obama thanked Nugent for his support "and everything that his family has done for this country."

Looking over the crowd — estimated at about 12,000 by Texas State University Police Chief Ralph Meyer — Obama said, "Y'all do it big in Texas." Then he launched into his speech, which was briefly interrupted by someone calling out their love, and Obama replying, as he does often, "I love you back."
