1. I'm going after work and I expect lines...
Our precinct caucus in 2004 had about a dozen people.

We're still a solid GOP pct in NW Houston, so it'll be interesting to see if the Limbaughsheviks show up to 'sabotage' us. The funny thing is that their masters on RW radio can't decide who to tell thme to vote for, is it Obama to defeat Hillary once and for all, or is it Hillary to face McCain? Delicious.

3. Lines in *NORTH PLANO* for Dems, but not for Repubs.
Report from a friend who voted in deep red North Plano: she had to wait in line this morning, but there was nobody voting Republican.

4. There was a decent line when I voted
Of course, it was the last day of early voting and I arrived around 4:30 when some of the after-work crowd show up, so that could have had something to do with it. Still, the long line actually made me happy, and not impatient. Seems like a good sign in my normally politically apathetic hometown of Orange.

5. Long lines in McKinney at 4:00.
We went early to beat the after work rush. There were lines when we got there at about 4:00 for both parties, but the Democrat's side was longer. By the time we got to the desk to show our voter cards, the Democrat's line had grown to about 50+ and the Repubs had dwindled considerably. The Dems line was starting to wrap around into the Repub side which was rather funny. There was a great energy needless to say on our side. We were all talking and laughing, but no one discussed their final choices. I can't wait to watch the results after American Idol is over.

6. we stood in line a long time, at least 30 minutes., more like 40 I think.
every 10 minutes or so the election judge would pop out and ask if anyone was planning to vote in the Republican primary and if so they could come on in as there were no lines in side. We were outside the building, up the walk

Then we went back for the caucus and the place was packed. we had to stand in line again to get in for the caucus. The diehards who stayed and signed up for Senate District Convention totaled 18 but many many more signed the preference sheets we stood in line forever.

we were an excited crowd too, all of us very hopped up on the fact that we had to stand in line at all, and how many of us there were, etc. IT was fun.

America is BACK!!!
