Best moment of the evening at my caucus.
(Keep in mind, this county went for GWB 72% in 2004.) We had at least 300 people standing outside for 2 hours, waiting for the election to end. Around 8:00, one of the Republicans bravely ventured forth to see if anyone out there was waiting for the GOP convention. He made it about half way into our Obama mob and yelled, "Any Republicans?" We laughed at him. He gave up and told the girl in front of him that if there were any Republicans out there, their convention was starting. Then he turned and started back in. The girl he'd said that to did her civic duty and turned around and yelled to the back of the line, "Any Republicans back there? They're starting something!" Someone else said, "What are they starting?" and the lady in front of me muttered "A war." We all laughed again.

High spirits for at least the first chilly hour and a half wait in line. By 9:00 the "Let us in!" chant had started.

2. I didn't even sign in until after 10:00.
I had hoped to stay for the rest, but I just couldn't do it.
