Anyone else in the state of Texas meeting a lot of Libertarians?
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 03:43 PM by texas1928
They seem to be multiplying around here. All these people who say they are an Independent, or libertarian. It is amazing. But when you press them they actually admit "i voted for bush". Then I hear, "but, Texas has always been a republican state." I then have to say "BULLSHIT IT HAS!"

I am just wondering if others are experiencing this?

1. Yeah, it's amazing what 8 years of corruption, incompetence and
cronyism will do to change a political viewpoint. Still too proud, or stupid, to go Democratic but too embarassed to call themselves Republican.

2. Have always heard
The definition of a Libertarian was a Republican who wants to legalize marijuana. Perhaps it is a short jump from the mental dumbing down the Republicans have been doing to the chemical one from dope.

3. Don't have much personal contact with any, but I have been amazed
at the Ron Paul signage and bumperstickers (and lack of anyone else's) in my ruby red county.

9. Me too.
I like to think that the Libertarians might someday get enough power to split the Republicans and give the Dems a chance to win.

Also I have a perfect record of NEVER voting for a Republican in my long life. So I look for ways to vote AGAINST Republicans when there is no Dem to vote for.

I don't see that it hurts anything. If someone disagrees, please let me know your thoughts.
