"Things are being done."
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 09:17 PM by crispini
I thought I'd repost this from GDP for those of you who don't go there.

Asked about it last week, Reid said he remains convinced the nominee will be decided well before the August national convention. He wore a serene and mysterious smile.

But Reid isn't one for lengthy explanations. The conversation went like this:

Question: Do you still think the Democratic race can be resolved before the convention?

Reid: Easy.

Q: How is that?

Reid: It will be done.

Q: It just will?

Reid: Yep.

Q: Magically?

Reid: No, it will be done. I had a conversation with Governor Dean (Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean) today. Things are being done.

1. Well, that's cryptic and just a tad disconcerting.
Just who exactly is doing what things? Whoever it is and whatever they're doing, I know he's not referring to we grassroots people. :(

2. Maybe it's time
For the the pressure to be put on the candidates for the good of the party. Neither one of them is getting enough delegates before the convention. Everyday this drags on is more time for John "W" McCain to gain on us. We're using money on each other when we should be using it to fight him.

3. I saw the exchange and think Reid was just shutting down the
conversation. As bad as the on-going primary may be for the party, conversations about how and what is being contemplated or done are worse.

Reid was saying,"Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal . . ." without going into details or feeding further speculation on the party suffering from the extened race.

4. Well, "shut down the conversation" is what our current fearless leaders seem to do best, isn't it?
They sure shut it down on impeachment hearings.....

5. It's not that he's a man of few words...

I just don't think he has any ideas but doesn't wanna say so.

Ain't no there there. They got nuttin' honey.

They're scared to death of Bill, why I don't know, and Hillary's billionare buddies put a scare into Nancy Pelosi (no matter what she says).

The Dem leadership, if there really is such a thing, is tale of failed leadership and no cojones.

Hey, ain't it funny how fast Texas went from being a big victory for Hillary to an insignificant red state?

Si se effin' puede.
