State Democratic Executive Committee Meeting is scheduled at the same location this weekend. Caucuses generally hold meetings in the same hotel too.

State Democratic Executive Committee Meeting

The State Democratic Executive Committee will meet today. At this meeting, the SDEC will canvass the runoff election. This will also be the final SDEC meeting before the State Convention. Please see the calendar of events at www.txdemocrats.org.

3. Actually Sonia, I downloaded the membership

form and it states that there are dues of $10 due every Jan 5. :shrug: It is a small price to pay to support the environment though.

4. That form is for TED-Austin chapter

TED Austin is a Democratic club and not the whole caucus. The TED Caucus is an official caucus of the Democratic Party and it is a statewide membership. TED-A is a subset i.e. an automatic member of the State TED Caucus, but your dues go to TED-A. The website is the TED-A website and not the TED Caucus website. I hope I'm not confusing you more. The TED state caucus will have it's own website soon, but they don't have one now. So TED-A puts a lot of their information out for them.

The election was held today for TED Caucus officers and board members. The top two positions in the TED Caucus automatically become SDEC members of the Environmental Caucus.
