Sharp in Talks w/DSCC to Run-Prove Me Wrong
John Sharp is in talks with the dscc to back him for kay's seat. Ive been arguing with my friends about sharp so I need your help. Didnt sharp back Bush over Mauro in 1998 for guv? isnt sharp pro life? Also-as i recall in 2002 he gave a speech in Dallas supporting the Bush tax cuts. Prove me wrong here on what i think i know. Do we have no one else in thsi state to run-oh thats right the dscc needs a big fundraiser. I will take bill white over sharp.

1. What does the DSCC have to do with it?
Did the DSCC throw its support and money behind Rick Noriega?

Did they pour money into the race run by Barbra Ann Radnofski?

The DSCC has written off Texas as a red state.

Talking to them is hardly a worthwhile endeavor.

Let him talk.

2. Maybe yes and maybe no
It never hurts to let them make offers. We certainly would like them to put money into Texas.

4. I lived in Texas back in 1998. Sharp did not back Bush in 1998.
The Texas Farm Bureau did buy billboards where they endorsed almost the entire GOP ticket, but also backed Sharp for Lt. Governor. You may be confusing him with the outgoing Democratic Lt. Governor at the time, Bob Bullock, who did endorse Bush.
