Campaign Underground 2006 - Virginia
Hey guys! :hi: Ill be working on the Virginia portion of CU 2006. I'd like to ask everyone to check on it now and then and let me know what you think. Is it clear and concise? How can it be improved? Afterall, CU is for evilDUers! Thanks for your help...I look forward to hearing your feedback.

-Alec

p.s. I just started so its pretty rough around the edges.

1. Looks great!
Don't worry about rough, you've got the content.

How about mentioning these blogs.

Don't know if you get to do that but the first one is pretty lively.

4. cant get them to open
I doubt they are down...I am living in China and they tend to block a lot of websites, especially blogs. Its a wonder they let me get on DU and Kos. *shrug* Then again, Clinton is like a superstar over here so maybe they like Dems.

Anyway, I think anyone can update the page. If the links DO work, just throw em at the bottom under the "links" section. We'd all appreciate it. Maybe you can cut/paste some good stuff from there to this thread. Id love to check em out.

2. Don't Know If You're Interested in Independents
But fyi, Brad Blanton (I-Green) is running against Eric Cantor in the 7th. He has a web site:

added new Dem challengers for the 1st district (Lorenzo Grant) and 7th district (Martin Dudziak). The 1st already has a Dem challenger or two but the 7th only has Independent Brad Blanton versus professional asshole Eric Cantor.

Also added some cool looks into Virginias changing voter demographics (note - I blatanly stole these from Not Larry Sabato) Check them out!

but i think we should find a primary challenger for rick boucher in the 9th he is a pretty good represenative but he votes with republicans to much

11. I think that's a really bad idea.
It seems to me that Boucher, Moran, and Scott are the only Virginia representatives exhibiting any signs of reason.

12. NO WAY
Im all for using primaries to oust the DINOs but Boucher is the wrong target. Rick is very popular in his district, not to mention he is a good guy (my brother used to work for him) he is smart, committed, and he is a good representative. Lets focus our energy somewhere else.

17. check this out
Not Larry Sabato and Kenton Ngo (two great VA bloggers) have been doing an in-depth study of changing voter demographics in Virginia. So far they have covered the Western portion of VA and they're doing a heckuva job. Go to CU2006 and check the links. They're a great read.
