PA DUers request URGENT HELP from VA DUers in northern VA.....
especially someone around Leesburg or in Loudon county.

to bring you up to date read:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=175x2676

we need of a PICTURE of the house ricky really lives in.

it is located at 17650 Tobermory Pl just outside of Leesburg city limits. (according to the loudon county web site):

http://inter1.loudoun.gov/cgi-bin/db2www.exe/webpdbs/re.d2w/INDEX

we don't want anyone to get in trouble, so if the road is posted "private road" a picture of that would be helpful.

if there is a gate at the property and you cannot get a good picture from the street, a picture of the gate would be helpful.

any pics would a great help to us.

the CYBERGATE issue is gaining ground and we need more ammo for the fight. we WILL beat santorum in '06 which is great news for us and good news for you too. it would be great news for you, except that after he's beaten, he'll never come back to PA and you will have him all to yourself!!!

THANK YOU in advance for any assistance you can provide.

5. Well at least he wouldn't be your senator, just a "good" neighbor...

but to answer your question -

ricky ran in 1990 against the incumbent dem congressman and won an upset victory mainly on the issue that the dem lived in VA and was not a real pennsylvanian like ricky was.

and if you read the links i've compiled (i understand that would take a while) you will see that he's been living in VA and having the taxpayers of this area paying for his children's education to the tune of $100,000+ while paying only half as much tax to PA as he does to VA.

and there are also more issues yet to come concerning his true residency.

we have pictures of his "home" in PA but for comparison purposes we would like to be able to show his REAL home.

this issue is hot right right now to the point where he's had to write a letter to the editor of the Pgh Post-Gazette defending himself and when that didn't work, he had senator frist write a letter defending him. it was a pretty funny letter, almost like writing an absence excuse for your kid having missed school!

this is an important issue in western PA.

so any help would be appreciated.

7. Leesburg is kinda close to NVA, but traffic is outrageous.
I am going down south on Friday if you can wait until then. I have a small child and a lot to do this week, so I'd rather not make a 3 or 4 hour trip for no reason. So I'll kick this hoping someone else lives closer.

and NO, don't make a special trip, the URGENT means we NEED it but not at the cost of a 3-4 hour trip for you. let's just say i know what i want for christmas. please santa!

i lived in fairfax county(1988-1989) and i remember northern virginia traffic back then. i can only imagine what it's like now and hopefully i'll only ever have to imagine it and not experience it.

santorum has been OUR senator (and for that matter A senator) for far too long. this issue is not about character assassination; it is about character exposure!

may i suggest that in addition to a picture of the house, you also get a PICTURE OF THE STREET SIGN (Tobermory). that would be useful additional documentation.

any help you can give in whatever timeframe is convenient(or more like "less of a pain in the butt") to you, gets a great big -

THANK YOU FROM PA TO VA

his address now is 17650 Tobermory in loudon county...it's about a four acre estate.

i've already debunked that picture, and have people contacting the web site to make corrections.

9. Off Rt 7, Just West of Leesburg
I checked Mapquest.

I just don't get it. Why do these people want to commute for two hours every day? If there is a wreck on a bridge or a suicide bridge jumper or really messy weather, it could be midnight before they get home.

Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 12:12 PM by corporatemedia
that by doing so, he's closer to his work and therefore can spend more time with his family.

Well then, WHY NOT MOVE TO THE DISTRICT? THAT'S WHERE HE WORKS!

by the way is that 2 hours each way? has it gotten that bad down there?

please let me know, i would like to have an estimate of the driving time ricky wastes so that he can live at sanTARA in leesburg.

even a two hour roundtrip adds up to 10 hours a week that this "devoted" family man devotes to driving instead of his family.

11. It is dependent on the time and if he car pools...
During Rush hour, if you are in a car pool (or chauffeur driven limo) you can usually make pretty good time in the carpool lanes. He would have to get through Leesburg then he probably takes the Greenway to Dulles Airport then takes the Dulles Toll Road from there. There aren't any carpool lanes on the Greenway. If there is traffic, there is a delay there.
On the Toll Road, it has taken me anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to get to the beltway in the morning.
If he is carpooling, he can take Rt 66 in the morning during rush hour. That is a fast trip from Falls Church to the Teddy Roosevelt bridge. It is only HOV-2 Oh, I forgot, he is a Senator, he can't be stopped for traffic violations on his way to a vote. He is also a Republican, so the rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to him. So, with his Senate license plates, and Republican attitude, he can take Rt 66 during HOV hours without a second person in the vehicle.
Once he enters the District of Columbia, he has to get all the way down Constitution Avenue. That could take a half hour in itself.

My original statement of two hours was for a round trip. That would be his time on a clear day. On a rainy day add at least another half hour to the total. On a snowy day add at least another hour.

Your ten hours a week is lean. I would guess at least 12 hours a week because, as I told Rosana Danna "It's always something."*

12. Thank you for the clarification...........
i remember most of those roads. i lived in fairfax city and worked out in herndon and reston for a couple of years.

i'll use the "12 hour" figure as his weekly commute in anything i write. i like the 12 hour figure because that means he is spending 1 1/2 working days commuting. "rick santorum, the devoted driving man"
he'd rather be driving than spending that time with his kids. i don't know his kids, but it might one of his smartest decisions?

anyone interested in following this story on a daily basis should log on to the piitsburgh post-gatzette. on the home page they have a search field. just enter "santorum" and let the fun reading begin.

today in addition to a story about how penn hills is still looking into the residency issue, there are also two letters critical of majority leader frist's "please excuse ricky's absence" letter.

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04345/424574.stm

thanks again.

p.s. is there and way we could petition the lord to get gilda and belushi back in exchange for dennis miller?

in the city where they stay during the week.

This of course would completely defeat the purpose he SAYS he has for living in Leesburg.

He's probably 50+ miles from his office in DC. There are some places in Pennsylvania that aren't much farther!!!

15. Corporate Media, where have you been.
I've been spreading your word whenever I see DUers use 'main stream media' or MMM. Cruise the forums and preach your message.

West of Leesburg is a hike. It is at least 1.5 hours (not 2) at rush hour and a little over an hour otherwise. Remember, Ricky probably has a pass to get on the special roads with little traffic. Living West of Leesburg is really arriviste around here, if you work in DC. Means you can't afford Great Falls (very large lots, very close to DC), Arlington, or McLean. Of course, the politics in Loudoun Co. are still Third Reich (but changing as we relocate more of the natives elsewhere...flame away).

Good luck, this guy hurts us all!

13. Here is a great angle for your publicity.
If Ricky Boy is in Herndon, VA (from the sign of the graphic), then his kids could have gone to Herndon High School. Check out the listing of top 300 high schools in the USA and you'll find Herndon in the top 100. If he's not in Herndon, figure out which HS in Loudoun County he's at and go to their web site. Almost all the schools around here are top ranked nationally.

Thank would make a nice point for the public in PA. Spending big bucks on an inferior private school when an exemplary public school was available for free!

14. Actually, check out the HS district based on his address...
Part's of Herndon, VA go to Oakton High School, one of the top 25 in the country. What a 'moran' RS is. These are great schools and he sends the a gaming institute of something. Dumb and Dumber!

16. thanks for the encouragement....
but, if you read the entire thread and the first link in my original post, you'll find that he herndon house shown in the picture is NOT where he lives. i realize there is a lot of reading involved!

ricky's kids won't have public school records. for the last few years he has been screwing the people of penns hills, pa for the cost of cyber school education. prior to that he "home-schooled" his kids. he has now announced that he will be going back to the home-school route. i don't think he wants his kid's minds contaminated by any ideas that don't fit his narrow view of the world.

thanks again, and yes it drives me up a wall when i read "MSM" or "mainstream media." what the hell is mainstream about it?

19. They would broaden their view of the world.
You said: " i don't think he wants his kid's minds contaminated by any ideas that don't fit his narrow view of the world."

Herndon and Fairfax County are diverse. If a teacher were to lead school prayer, it might be a Hindu or Moslem prayer. He couldn't argue for school prayer if that might be an option.

Herndon and Fairfax County were blue in the last election. He wouldn't want his kids exposed to "Blueish" people; it might cause them to think of others instead of themselves. They might actually think a strong community is also good for the individual.

We have some really good private schools here, too. Some are liberal, but some of them are even "Christian" schools.
