If you want to find out about the John Edwards campaign
there will be house parties around the state on Tuesday, January 29 at 6 pm. John himself will call in and speak to everyone about the campaign and how Wisconsin fits into it. Here's a link to the various locations, and information for anyone who would like to host one in their area:

The one over in your area is at the home of a dedicated Edwards supporter, and you'll be glad you went to hear what JE has to say.

7. It seems pretty clear to me
ABH

anybody but Hillary

I think Obama is the kind of politician that can cross party lines and appeal to a large number of people.
To me Hillary is John Kerry and Al Gore in a pants suit.
If Hillary is nominated I think we will be in serious danger of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
and we cannot afford to have another four years of a Republican in the White HOuse.

a poor choice to be sure.

Guess I'll just have to put all my energy into my assembly candidate's race.

9. I am in shock
but sometime soon, maybe tomorrow (definitely not today) I will pick myself up and do something. My first thought is that Obama is the better choice mainly because he is drawing so many young people into the process. If he doesn't get the nomination, many of them will retreat from politics. (They haven't been through enough campaigns like the rest of us to understand what you do after your candidate loses.) We need them in November to bulk up the numbers so the election can't be stolen by voting machine.

10. Think of the difference between the spouses of Obama and Clinton.
This is the huge difference. As much as I respected Bill Clinton- nobody seems to be able to control what he does now that he is an ex-president and I think it would be even worse if Hillary were president. He has connections all over the world, and he is no Jimmy Carter.

Michelle Obama, by all accounts, is a very bright, intelligent woman who would keep her husband's feet on the ground. I think America would fall in love with her. (My brush with fame is that I did meet her in front of the grocery store in the rain when she asked me to sign Obama's petition to run for Congress against Bobby Rush in 1999. I didn't even realize till recently that he was my State Senator when I lived in Chicago.) She is not on a power trip. We elect Obama, all we get is Obama.
