3. Soon to be covered...snow coming Friday and Saturday
I love the first snow, and this seasons start with its giant flakes was better than most
but I'm tired of it.

I'm well past ready to see the kinglets in the tree tops and puff balls on the pussy-willows.

4. I don't think it's grass.
Ours looks like dog poop with a lot of fiber in it.

5. See any robins yet?
We haven't seen them so I'm a bit concerned about the adage:

Spring doesn't come until the robin gets snow on his feathers three times. No robins = no spring....damn!

Or in my case,

It isn't spring until the grill gets snowed on three times.....

6. Funny you should mention it...
Driving to town at lunch time, I thought I might have seen one fly across the road in front of me. Unfortunately didn't get a good look at it, but there aren't any winter birds of their size and color. I'm hoping I see it again soon.

That will teach me for driving too fast. ;-)

7. Check that - Jackpot!
I'm sitting at my desk in my home office, just now looked out the window and saw two fat robins in my pine tree.

They have arrived e-wag.

8. Haven't SEEN them,
but I've heard some birds.

That's something freaky I hadn't even realized. Birds fly south to my home. We're never without them. Up here, I hadn't even realized I missed birds until I heard them again and realized I'd been without all winter!

I know everybody up here hates them, but I love the Canada geese. I like driving past Washington Park where there are HUNDREDS of them.

Used to be, they just flew over the lake where we lived in squadron formation, but they never stayed. I like their silly honks. :D

13. It rather looks like we've gotten it, too.
And the wind is about to turn directions as the low heads over the lake. Will there be a lake-enhanced snow on top of this?
