Menomonie deer protests telecom invasion of privacy
Deer tears through telecom business
MENOMONIE - A deer crashed through a window at 24-7 Telecom in Menomonie and then crashed its way out the front door, according to Menomonie police reports.

It is believed the deer went through the south window into the lobby around dawn or shortly before dawn Thursday.

No one was at the building at the time.

Surprisingly, the deer did not damage any equipment at the telephone and Internet provider, 912 Crescent St.

Damage to the window and double doors is estimated at about $2,500.

Police originally were called to the scene for a report of a burglary, but authorities found blood and hair matching a deer.

The deer has not been located. :puffpiece:
