Another committee filed to recall Walker/Kleefisch--why?
Does anyone know why a group called "Wisconsin Common Sense Citizens for Accountability and Recall aka Recall Walker PAC" filed with the GAB to recall Walker and Kleefisch? This paperwork was filed three days after the United Wisconsin recall. The person who signed the Common Sense Citizens registration is Randy Bryce of Caledonia, who is (according to Google) an activist and an official with the Iron Workers Union. What are they thinking?

1. I heard something about another group which was
targeting Republicans and Independents against Walker. I just hope that their signatures can be counted with ours. Maybe they have a strategy for reaching those voters. Otherwise, I don't know why they would do this.

3. They can't be combined
Unless this group uses the United Wisconsin petitions and turns them over to UW, they won't accomplish anything. I'm assuming this group will not by themselves get the 540,000, which is a pretty good bet. However, people should realize that there is nothing wrong with signing the petitions of both groups.

4. Can't remember where I read about the group
but they really might be legit and confused... and therefore willing to use the same petitions.

8. Correction
Both groups can combine petitions. They do NOT need to use the same form. Got the answer directly from the GAB.

2. Expect more. It extends Walker's unlimited fundraising period.

Not being reported much anywhere else. Their rally was at Barrymore Fri night w some Dems - either they are legit or Peg Lautenschlager, Cory Mason etc. were taken in.

Re all the idle speculation, can we wait to know something before posting??? (Yes, I know that would probably wipe out half of DU - LOL)

Admittedly its kind of strange that there seems to a lot of silence around this - even publicity re the Fri. rally wasn't clear exactly that it was to kick off another group.

PS http://www.thedailypage.com/daily/article.php?article=35271 heres another report

9. Re: "secrecy"
We waited until after UW so as to not take anything away from them.

We WERE going to file papers before them if the Repubs were going to make Notarizing all petitions the new Law. That would have allowed UW to not need to notarize their sigs. (providing both groups worked together)

At our Rally on Friday, UW had a table inside and collected 300 signatures. That alone should say where we're coming from...

11. thats fantastic - thank you! I was so heartened to read about this - Ive been saying

all along that this Uprising should not be construed to mean mindless support for the Dem Party or business as usual. I met quite a few Independents and moderate repubs around the square back in Feb/March. Whoever our candidate is (and Im fine with letting that work itself out in the next few months) will have to be a good coalition builder. There are certain basic Wisconsin tenets and traditions that I think we can unite around - open, honest, un-corrupted, transparent government, working across party lines, etc.

Sorry for gushing on - thanks for whatever part you have in it. Dang, wish I woulda gone Friday!

10. Thank you for your dedication to the cause!
I was sure that your group was pro-recall, not at all like the Republican who filed early to give Walker more fundraising time. I just couldn't wrap my head around why anyone would go to the trouble of filing another committee registration and become responsible for the GAB's campaign finance paperwork, when United Wisconsin had already taken care of that.

With so many people working together, we can't fail to take back Wisconsin.

And welcome to DU! :hi:

13. Thanks!
Thank you for the welcome!

"Deceptions have Consequences" was listed as the "reason" for recalling both of them.

Looking forward to getting this done!

Solidarity!

Does it matter?
