What Stephen Harper thinks of rightwing U.S. Christian fundamentalists
Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 11:41 PM by daleo
"Your country, and particularly your conservative movement, is a light and an inspiration to people in this country and across the world..."

"Let me take a moment for a humorous story. Now, I tell this with some trepidation, knowing that this is a largely Christian organization...<tells unfunny joke>...My apologies to Eugene Meyer of the Federalist Society."

"But let me conclude by saying, good luck in your own battles. Let me just remind you of something that's been talked about here. As long as there are exams, there will always be prayer in schools."

2. Here's the family tree...
It's incomplete though: It's missing a few Liberal fundietards like Alan Tonks, Paul Szabo, Tom Wappel, and Roger Galloway, among others.

3. Galloway, once fought him on a national news show.....
I called in about something. I "think" it was about fathers' rights.

This was years back, the guy must hate women. :(

4. this?
http://www.fathers.ca/anne_cools.htm

In these campaigns, Cools has worked closely with Sarnia-Lambton Liberal MP Roger Galloway, a fellow maverick within the Liberal caucus. Together, they headed up the Special Joint Committee of Parliament on Child Custody and Access that called in 1998 for some wide-ranging reforms to divorce law. Justice Minister Anne McLellan has yet to act on the recommendations.
Also to be seen here:

The urls tell the story.

that's "law-abiding unregistered firearms association", weighing in on Cools and Galloway and their righteous fight against feminists:

Minister Cauchon had also told the committee. "Shared parenting has created a legal presumption that we don't want," said Cauchon. (Obviously referring to the presumption that joint custody is the appropriate order, which Cools/Galloway were seeking to have entrenched in Cdn law.)

Who is we is (sic) he talking about? The feminist groups in Canada. What they want, apparently, is to maintain the costly and biased system currently responsible for the alienation of tens of thousands of Canadian children every year. A system, shown in study after study, that produces more and more juvenile delinquents and hard core criminals every year, thanks to willful and court enforced parental alienation.

and there's some other right-wing loon site tackling another apparently unrelated subject, same-sex marriage, and referring approvingly to the Cools/Galloway intervention in the Supreme Court reference. (No, not seeking "equal justice" in that case!)

Quite the pair they make.

5. The guy was just not reasonable.
Anne Cools. She was one pretty rabid gal on the subject as well.

Apparently according to Galloway my Mom alienated my bio dad from me.

Uh, no, entirely NOT the way it was. Here I was bickering back and forth with this guy on a call in talk show. :D
