CIDA in Afghanistan
With the release of the long-awaited report from the Independent Panel on Canada's Future Role in Afghanistan headed by former Liberal Foreign Affairs Minister John Manley, we looked at how effective the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has been. CIDA gets $100 million a year for development projects in Afghanistan. And there are those who say that money just isn't producing the kind of results that it should.

Senator Colin Kenny is one of them. He's the Chair of the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence and he joined us from Ottawa.
